Single-Session Consultation
For those who may want support but aren't sure about committing to long-term counselling or therapy, single-session work might provide a path forward for you. Single-session consultations allow for you to present your question or concern for analysis and feedback without the expectation to commit to further sessions. The format of single-session counselling mirrors that of traditional counselling, but condensed into one meeting and so requires us to be pragmatic and solution-focused.
As this is short-term work, some concerns or challenges will fit this modality more easily than others. Some topics that may work well for single-session counselling or consultation are:
you are concerned about the well-being of a family member or loved one and would like guidance or advice;
you want support but don't want to commit to, or aren't sure about, ongoing counselling;
you have a work- or career-related issue on which you would like coaching;
you are experiencing challenges in a relationship and would like another perspective; or,
you are noticing mental health or substance use challenges within yourself and want recommendations for self-paced resources.
